棒材穿水冷卻裝置的基本原理是什么？

在精軋機后設有一個由數個水冷箱組成的可調水冷段，對棒材進行急劇冷卻，使棒材表面形成馬氏體組織，在隨后的溫度恢復過程中，芯部熱量散出對表面馬氏體組織可產生回火作用，結果棒材表面層為回火馬氏體，芯部為細粒珠光體及索氏體組織。這種組織結構使棒材屈服極限和韌性提高，并具有良好的可焊性。鋼錠或鋼坯在常溫下很難變形，不易加工，需要進行加熱到1100℃到1250℃進行軋制，這種軋制工藝叫做熱軋。
