.大勢至菩薩：又名得大勢菩薩，或簡稱勢至。此菩薩與觀音菩薩俱攝護眾生，被視為臨終來迎令得往生世界的菩薩，而廣受崇信。如《頂首楞嚴經》卷五云：“我本因地，以念佛心，入無生忍，

今于此界，攝念佛人，歸于凈土。”大勢至與彌陀、觀音二圣，有極深的淵源。

觀音，亦稱觀世音，是西方三圣之一，阿彌陀佛的左脅侍，是救苦救難的化生。
