軋機(jī)上使金屬產(chǎn)生連續(xù)塑性變形的主要工作部件和工具。軋輥主要由輥身、輥頸和軸頭3部分組成。

輥身是實(shí)際參與軋制金屬的軋輥中間部分。它具有光滑的圓柱形或帶軋槽的表面。輥頸安裝在軸承中，并通過(guò)軸承座和壓下裝置把軋制力傳給機(jī)架。

通常對(duì)粗軋輥以強(qiáng)度、抗熱裂為主要要求；小型20輥軋機(jī)的工作軋輥重僅 100克左右，而寬厚板軋機(jī)的支承輥重量已超過(guò)200噸。選用軋輥時(shí)首先根據(jù)軋機(jī)對(duì)軋輥的基本強(qiáng)度要求，選定安全承載的主體材料（各種級(jí)別的鑄鐵、鑄鋼或鍛鋼等）。

（2）在堆焊時(shí)，為了防止裂紋的產(chǎn)生，必須先加工軋輥輥身預(yù)熱，預(yù)熱溫度根據(jù)軋輥輥及堆焊材料而定。
